Zenke & Schultes player
Does anyone have any information about Zenke & Schultes pianolas? I had an enquiry today from a customer wanting the player action restored. He thinks they were manufactured in Australia and says it seems to be of good quality. Any tips before I go and assess it would be greatly appreciated.

almost certainly whatever the brand name the innards were made by another company. There are a myriad of players with transfered-on names from the local music shop dealership and there were a myriad of player action companies who serviced this market. The easiest solution : get them to email you a photograph of the piano with the front boards off. They're all almost invariably variants on the typical Autopiano / Standard / Higel type affair like every other player piano in the world.
