german student-songs rolls
Hello everybody, I´m looking for some special rolls I don`t know if they exist. I`m looking for german student-songs. That`s a kind of music from the 19th century, tipical german songs from this time and also student songs. Do someone know if there are some kind of rolls? Who has got some of this rolls? Hi there Leo, It is possible that a number of titles were made on the German "Hupfeld" label which had over (I think) 20,000 title in their catalogues. Even if they were made they would be quite hard to find as they probably would not have sold many of such tunes. I have some of the old German student songs in an old music book somewhere here. There is an Aeolian medley roll called "Favourite German Songs" which has some of the sort of material you are after on it but I don't have a copy of it anymore (I used to!). It is possible that QRS in America made some title in their international section but again, finding a copy will not be easy. The easiest thing for you to do would be to get a midi file of which ones you want and get a new piano roll cut from the midi which is very easy to do these days. Let me know if you need further advice about these. Searching for an old copy of tunes such as these could take years otherwise. regards Adam
