That's nearly £4000 :!:
I wonder which universe the seller comes from?

From the roll division..
THIS PIANO ROLL IS BY QRS COMPANY. THE SONG IS A SUMMERS LULLABY. IT IS SIGNED BY WALTZES. THE BOX SAYS HE IS THE MUSICIAN WHO MADE IT.
Er..quite

Re: More comedy offerings It's bad enough that in this technological age (when we have access to more information than ever) these Ebay sellers seem to do absolutely no research whatsoever. What's worse is their lack of basic English grammar or spelling - and apparent inability to even copy what's printed on a box label!! Perhaps they can only communicate via 'text speak'?! Or am I just a 'grumpy old man'!!
Gary
Fancy a roll by Mr Th E Modist?

Grammar et al Gary,
You think it's bad on ebay!
Have you noticed the spelling mistakes on TV, credits etc.?
Even folk with BA's MSc's etc these days often don't seem to know how to spell or at least check out their spelling before going into print/online.
Maybe we're all grumpy old men on here...
Have you checked out MMD in the last couple of days, thread going about youngsters not being interested in anything but iPods and techno stuff these days on there?

Ebay's Comedy Offerings Here's that Steck piano yet again (or at least that's what I think is being sold - maybe it's just the stool and the seller's autobiography?!).

It seems to increase by £1,000 each time it appears!!

Steck Gary,
What a load of waffle with it too!
Can anyone be bothered to read it all
As to the sellers assertion that it was worth £20K new then even at todays prices a Steinway of that period would only be worth @ £8K.. (from price quoted in 1922 Aeolian Catalogue.
Andy
Perhaps Dan would be interested! :)

Thanks Andy......one upright and one Grand in the same house is enough for now...LOL.....your going to get me into trouble.
Oh what the heck.........my wish list is still a Ampico and a Welt further down the track
20 Rolls That's twenty rolls of music at one go Dan!
It's called a Nancarrow pianola- ever heard of it?

I had to smile at the folowing for-sale entry:
"Guaranteed to break the ice at parties! Amaze your fiends with the 'look no hands' approach to piano playing".
Fiends? Are you sure about that?
