Duo-Art pump and motor , can you help with a question?
Hi all Can anyone tell me if im missing a spring from the base plate below my motor?.When the pump stops it shudders a bit and makes a noise , i was hoping someone here may have a close up shot of the same area of another steamboat pump set up , so i could check to see if im missing something? Im thinking along the lines that there should be a spring underneath that could be adjusted , but could be wrong. Many thanks for any feedback. Daniel :)

Duo-Art Pump and Motor
In my Weber Duo-Art (American), there is a leather strap fastened to the bottom of the piano. There is a screw-hook similar to the one on the right side, connected to the leather strap, to hold down the left side of the motor. I use the adjustment on the left side to put tension on the belt (slightly more than the weight of the motor) and the adjustment on the right side to adjust the motor so it is level (pulley alignment). I can email you a picture if that would help. Now a question for you. What mechanism does your Duo-Art have to keep the keyslip closed when the keyboard cover is not covering the keys? I'll be posting a question to the forum. Best regards, Glenn

Thanks Glenn Ive actually tackled this problem and did the strap and hook as stated. It made a big difference and the balance is alot better.Next job is to get a washer (brushing?) redone on the pulley wheel as it moves too far back and forth and at times causes a knocking sound.Other then that the motor and pump are ok.
